Musician Jose Chameleon likely to face murder charges.

Uganda'a top singer Joseph Mayanja aka Dr. Jose Chamelon, his wife Daniella Atim and the Leon Island crew could be charged with murder if the police consideration is to go by in regard to the burning of an
alleged intruder at his home in Buziga, a top Kampala surbub.

According to the Kajjansi District Police Commander, Ibrahim Saiga, the evidence available puts a case on singer Chameleon and his acquaintances and police is therefore considering opening murder charges against them.

Robert Karamaji is alleged to have entered the singer's residence withe an intention to harm Daniella with petrol. In the scuffle, according to, the petrol then poured on to karamaji and he lit up a lighter that then coughtup with the petrol on his body and he ended up in flames.

Evidence however pins the Chameleon family after clues from eye witnesses seemed related.
“We have recorded statements and are reviewing the facts so that we can determine what course of action to take,”said the Kajjansi police commander.

The deceased’s father has also denied reports that his son touched himself, maintaining that Karaiga called him from his hospital bed in Mulago Hospital and told him that he had been tortured, tied, doused and burnt by the musician and his crew members.

On Thursday, Chameleone spent the better part of the day with the detectives, but was later released on Police bond.
