Ugandan Speaker of Parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has been endorsed to stand for the Presidency of the Common Wealth Women Parliamentary Association in South Africa.
Kadaga was given the node by a group of African Legislators currently attending the Common Wealth Women Parliamentarians Association in Cape Town South Africa.
She is standing with another Woman legislator from Indonesia.
The elections are due today. Kadaga's endorsement has been received with pleasure from the African Parliamentarians at the conference, citing her good track record as a Speaker of Uganda's Parliament as well as in Several other positions on the African Continent.
Ugandan MP. Elijah Okupa, who is at the conference assured Ugandans that they will come back to the Country with the Presidency. If Kadaga wins the race, she will the first Ugandan to hold the position of Common Wealth Presidency.
