The highly anticipated match between Uganda's National team, the Uganda Cranes and Senegal is drawing closer.
President Museveni seingoff the Uganda Cranes at Entebbe Airport where he made an offer for tickets to Cranes fans to go cheer the team in Morocco. |
The two teams are set to battle for a spot in the 2014 Brazil World Cup final in a World Cup qualifiers match to be held on a neutral ground in Morocco on Saturday.
Fans have started preparations for travel to Morocco after President offered tickets to over 150 fans to travel along the team and cheer them on as they tussle the once Champions of African football.
Fears are however that the already chosen fans could miss out on the opportunity due to lack of valid travel documents. Most lack passports that would guarantee them a slot on the flight due tomorrow(Friday).
While some fans simply had no idea that passports would be required, others assumed that temporary travel documents like those common within East African Community members states, could be used to enter the North African state.
Several fans were bitter on Wednesday on being told that they would have to part with $120 (sh312,000)to cater for a visa, internal transport from Casablanca to Marrakech and stadium entry fees.
