Two of the seven girls that were arrested from the residence of a Chinese investor
have tested HIV positive.
According to the police medical report released on Monday at Mulago Hospital , showed that the girls were infected with the AIDS Virus. The girls have since been taken to Nsambya police clinic for further examination.
The Chinese investor however tested negative, leaving many wondering whether the girls were positive before they landed in the hands of the Chinese.
The girls were allegedly ferried from Gulu and Lira Districts with promises of employment. This however did not come to pass.
The Police also revealed that the suspect gave fake names to hide his identity so that he would be exonerated from the allegations and continuously recorded contradicting statements with the Police.
The Chinese national, Yang Zheng Jun, who had earlier been identified as Li Weng, is to be produced in court today on two counts of aggravated defilement and human trafficking, sources have revealed.
The Chinese accomplice by names of Faith Orlando also faces charges of human trafficking as she is accused of having facilitated the travel of the girls from Gulu and Lira to Kampala.
