Mulago paramedical school has been closed after students went on strike yesterday morning and students were ordered to leave the
school premises until their grievances are worked on.
The closure came after students and the school administration failed to reach a consensus as regards student demands.
In their claims, the students say they have taken months without power, no water in and around the hostels, poor hygiene, poor feeding. They say they lack good accommodation as beds are shared and because of this, other students sleep on the floor all putting their lives at risk of contracting diseases.
The closure according to the school's principal takes effect and the school will not be open until further notice.
Students say they expect to find when their problems have been solved otherwise the strike will resume on their reporting date.
