The fight between two Ugandan boxers Zebra Ssenyange "Mando" and Haruna Banabana is on tonight at the MTN Arena in Lugogo and
their verbal wars will possibly be brought to an end with only one winner at the end of the fight.
The two fighters have been involved in exchange of hot verbal insults at several occasions and almost exchanged punches at one of their press briefings at Hotel Sojovaro. They were only separated by Assistant Inspector of police Andrew Sorowen.
The fight has been dubbed ‘The Rise of Professional Boxing in Uganda’ and the winner gets a shot at the WBO Intercontinental title early next year.
“I camped at Hotel Africana and have been fed by Salim Uhuru. I cannot let down IGP Kayihura and all other sponsors. Senyange should lay hands off boxing,”I will first teach him boxing then knock him down.”said Banabana.
Big Strikers International promotions manager Emmanuel Mwesigwa has assured the public of maximum security, discipline and an entertaining evening at Lugogo.
The fight is sponsored by the Uganda Police, Jomayi Property Consultants, Power Horse and Queens Tech and many others.
The fight will be broadcast live on NTV Uganda from 22:00 EAT.
