Newly elected Butaleja District Woman Member of Parliament Florence Andiru Nebanda was on Thursday sworn in to represent the people of Butaleja at the Parliamentary Chamberers.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by Parliament Speaker Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga who late handed over the Parliamentary rules of procedure to Andiru Nebanda.
Florence Andiru is a sister to former Butaleja Woman MP, late Cerinah Nebanda who died under unclear circumstances in December 2012.
Andiru vowed not to look back but to continue with her late sister's programs especially growing women income generating groupsand to help the youth in the fight against poverty.
She was accompanied to the chambers by her mother and a group of NRM supporters from Butaleja, together with some Movement legislators who cheered and led her to her seat.
