Christians of all denominations around the world today celebrated Palm Sunday in commemoration of Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem before his crucifixion, death and resurrection, marking the start of the Holy Week that leads them on to Easter Sunday.
When Jesus was entering Jerusalem, crowds gathered to have a glimpse of him, many laying down their most expensive possessions for Jesus Christ's horse to step on while others waved palms and tree leaves.
In the sermon, Christians were reminded of Prayer, Fasting, and Doing charity, the three pillars of the Lenten period. They were also advised not to lose their holiness even after the lent period comes to an end.
