The Judiciary has had a massive shake-up that saw 46 of Judicial officers moved all across the country a move aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, in the Judiciary.
The announcement was made last evening by the Assistant Judiciary Spokesperson, Mr Araali Muhirwa and according to Mr Araali, the transfers take effect from May 6.
In the transfer instrument signed by the Chief Registrar, Mr Henry Adonyo, the shake-up saw 10 Registrars, seven Chief Magistrates, and 29 Grade One Magistrates, moved.
“The transfers intended to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of judicial services in the country and they are in line with the Judiciary policy of at least deploying a magistrate Grade One in every district of Uganda; thus bringing access to justice nearer to the people,” Arasli said.
