The suspect in the Bombo Barracks shooting Pte. Patrick Okot who was on 29th May found guilty of ten counts of murder was on Tuesday sentenced to 90 years in prison by the General Court Martial.
The cahirman of the Court Martial said prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubt that Okot committed the offence.
On addition to the ten counts of murder, Okot was also charged with three counts of attempted murder, 1 for aggravated robbery, and 1 for failure to protect army materials.
It is alleged that on Match 8th 2013, Okot gunned down Sgt. Onesmus Adule, Cpl. Isaac Osele, Sgt. Joel Obote, Warrant officer II Francis Musana, Pte. Teddy Namatovu, Amina Asolo, Wilfred Oriba, Sarah Akol and Florence Akulu at a local bar.
