Years after they were defeated by the Ugandan armed forces, the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) are said to be regrouping in the Democratic Republic of Congo again to invade Uganda and engage her in war.
The regrouping claims were confirmed on Saturday by Army Spokesperson Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda and said security at the Uganda-Congo border has been heightened to avert any rebel activities.
The report puts the ADF strength at between 800 and 1,200 soldiers. It also claims that there have been attempts by ADF to increase its numbers through recruitment and kidnapping.
The victims of the recruitment exercise, according to the report are promised lucrative jobs, education among other favors, before they are eventually transported to DRC through the border town of Bwera.
