American celebrated young singer, Justin Bieber survived being arrested on Sunday after a pot containing Marijuana was found on his tour bus Detroit as it tried to enter the United States from Canada, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Justin Bieber who was scheduled to perform that night at Joe Louis Arena, was however not on the bus at the time the pot was smoked out.

According to Hammond Kenneth, chief officer and public affairs liaison for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Detroit, a drug sniffing dog picked up the trace of illegal substances during a secondary inspection of the bus. Police ultimately found and seized a small amount of marijuana intended for personal use.

The driver was issued a civil penalty and the bus and its passengers were released. 

Just a few months back authorities in Sweden discovered drugs and a stun gun on the pop star's bus, which they raided after reportedly smelling marijuana coming from inside. While the police sent the drugs to the lab for analysis, they did not make any arrests nor did they plan to push the matter any further.

Just this year, paparazzi snapped a photo of Bieber smoking what appeared to be pot at a hotel party. Though the singer never officially copped to toking, he did address fans on Twitter soon after, writing: "i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u"
