Africa will on Thursday 18 July be celebrating Nelson Mandela's 95th birthday, in the wake of his ailing health condition.
Mandela has been admitted for over a month an his condition worries though South African authorities say his state of health is critical but stable.
Preparations are allover the Continent as many pray for his quick recovery from an illness that has left him hospitalized for so long.
Mandela is globally seen as the Icon of African democracy, after serving his Country for only four years yet he spent 27 years in prison, fighting for the liberation and independence of South Africa.
South Africa was for several years under the "divide and rule" Apartheid Policy where Africans were barred from enjoying the same Services with whites.
It was for this reason that Nelson Mandela and a group of few youthful South Africans waged the struggle against whites for equal treatment.
He was sent to a prison on Robben Islands in South Africa until 1994 when he was released and there after assumed the Presidency of South Africa.
