Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA)'s electoral Commission on Thursday declared that Moses Magogo had selected as the only candidate to take on the FUFA Presidency after the other candidates were disqualified for lack of experience in sports.
The two candidates that had been lined up for the post were Kampala Central M.P Muhammad Nsereko and Taban Amin, a son to former Ugandan President Idd Amin Dada.
The commission said that though the two candidates met the other requirements of holding Senior Six Certificate, being over 30 years of age and with the money, the lacked the 8 years experience in Ugandan football required to lead the body.
Magogo has been on the FUFA committees and has over 7 years experience in the last 10 years of the governing body.
He has served at various positions under FUFA and has been the body's Vice President under Lawrence Mulindwa, who chose not to stand for another term of office.
FUFA the grieved parties have only to weeks to appeal the Commission's decision if not, Magogo will be declared the dully elected President of FUFA.
