President Yoweri Museveni has lashed out at the Youth and Africans in general who waste most of their time, energy and finances in "useless" celebrations that cost them a life time fortune.
He cited expensive wedding parties, graduation and other functions where they spend alot yet they are not going to earn them any income. He said some people even acquire loans to finance their wedding ceremonies.
Museveni who was on Friday officiating at the "Saawa ya cash" reality TV show grand finale at Hotel Africana, told the youth to develop a savings culture as one way of building on starting capital.
"The problem of the youth is lack entrepreneurship minds, they spend all they earn on useless parties", said the President.
"Entrepreneurship is the ability of one to see opportunities where others are not seeing them", continued Museveni.
He advised the Youth to develop entrepreneurial minds so as to take advantage of the available opportunities.
Museveni also lashed out at those demanding for salary increments, saying his government is giving priority to infrastructural development. “Government’s focus is on boosting infrastructural development and not salary increases as demanded by various trade unions,”
