About 100 people are feared trapped in the rubbles of a four-storey building that was under construction in the North-Eastern Rwanda collapsed.
According to the Rwandan Disaster Management Minister Seraphine Mukantabana, the debris is said to have fallen on about 100 people who were at the construction site at the time of the collapse. He said, the exact figure will be availed in a short time.
Police spokesman Theos Badege said that three people were confirmed dead and 21 had been taken to hospital.
The building, on a roadside in the town of Nyagatare, some 100 kilometres northeast of the capital Kigali, collapsed on Tuesday afternoon burying both people on the construction site as well as the passers-by on the street.
