Two Ugandan dailies will not be seen on the newspaper market tomorrow after heavily armed police stormed and closed their offices in the guise of searching for Gen. Tinyefuza's letter that was published by the Daily Monitor.
Police besieged the Red Pepper and Daily Monitor offices at Namanve and Namuwongo respectively on Monday morning and ordered all staff of the two media houses to vacate and let them "find what they want".
The siege also ended in the closure of two radio stations affiliated to Daily Monitor. KFM and Dembe FM were switched off during the search and by press time, they were still off.
The sejusa saga has brought in the a country a state of fear with many saying he will be arrested on arrival at the Entebbe Airport.
The Tinyefuza letter alleges that there are plans in the Army to assassinate all high profile Army officers who are again the plan to have Museveni's first son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba take over as president of Uganda when he (Museveni) resigns.
