Jamaican Dancehall star Garfield Spence a.k.a Koshens and partner Alaine pulled a very huge crowd on Friday at their performance at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, leaving many yearning for even more.
The well attended Pepsi sponsored show kicked off at 7pm with performances from Kampala's Top DJs who were compelled to compete against each other to determine who is Kampala's Top Spin Master. Theses were DJ Roja, DJ Alludah and DJ Shiru.
The Curtain raising performances from the likes of Jose Chameleone, Rema, Navio, Vampino, Young Mulo were amazing and truly left the reavelers into the party mood.
At about 9:30pm, American-Jamaican reggae singer Alaine hit the stage amid cheers from the many fans at the show. She performed songs like Giving It All To You, Keep Lovin You, Make Me Weak, No Ordinary Love, Rise In Love, Spin Mi, You Nuh Ready Fi Me and the Collabo done with Kenyan singer, Wyre. To ensure that she gave the crowd the best of her performance, Alaine removed her shoes and performed barefooted because she wanted to do some dancing.
The Man of the night, Koshens, hit the stage close to 11pm and took the crowd very wild after the lights were switched off and then back on. He started off with Gal a Bubble and proceeded with other hits like Represent, Simple Song, pretty devil, Winner, Do Sum'n, Rasta Imposter, World Citizen, Do Sumn.
He ended his performance with the acclaim, “Uganda is my second home”.
