Murchison Bay Luzira Prisons on Wednesday received a state-of-art Computer laboratory courtesy of Uganda's Telecommunication giant, Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN).
The Lab is in response to Capt. Mike Mukula's letter to the Telecommunication's provider, which he authored while in prison during his two Months detention.
Mukula wrote requesting MTN to install a computer Lab at the Prison Bay so a to keep the Prisoners and the Prison staff connected to the rest of the world.
Uganda Prisons Boss Johnson Byabasaija was thanked MTN and Capt Mukula for the development. He said this was a milestone and would ensure effective monitoring of the prison's activities.
