Uganda Wins first Medal at 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow.

 Gold Medal at the Moscow games.

Uganda on Saturday won her first medal at the on going 2013 International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Championships at Luzhniki Stadium in the Russian Capital, Moscow.

Courtesy of the 2012 London Olympics Men's Marathon Champion, Stephen Kiprotich, it was all smiles for Ugandans both within and outside the Country.

Kiprotich clocked 2:09:51 ahead of main rivals, Ethiopia's Lelisa Desisa Benti and Tadese Tola in Second and Third place respectively. 

By using his usual trick of keeping close to his opponents and then pacing off in the last minutes, Kiprotich could not be matched with the Ethiopians who had had a better pace in the middle of the race.
