The President rewarded the golden boy with shs.200m and also promised to construct a residential house for his parents. This is in addition to the house he constructed for Kiprotich's parents in Kapchorwa as a fulfillment of the promise he made to Kiprotich in 2012 after he won gold in the London Olympic games. Shs.200m was also given to the marathoner when he won the Olympic marathon.
On their arrival, the Moscow team was hosted on a state dinner at State House Entebbe by the Prime Minister Hon. Amama Mbabazi.
